The MINI-15 was designed to accommodate the need for a small base station cabinet, that could house and secure a small dash mount mobile radio, 12 volt power supply, and associated control equipment. With the MINI-15 in place, the old wiring & cabling mess, associated with installing a dash mount mobile as a base station, has been eliminated. The MINI-15 comes with one shelf and two doors. One door is for rear access and has a foam filter pad for ventilation. The other door we call the radio door. The radio door has a 4" High X 9" Wide hole cut out of the doors face.
A 3/4" thick foam insert has been installed into the cut out area. This foam insert can be cut out by your technician to allow the front or rear of your mobile radio to protrude through it. With the front of the mobile sticking out through the radio door, local control is provided, or with the rear heat sink of the mobile sticking out through the radio door, the heat emitted by the heat sink is exposed externally outside of the cabinet.
